Recently I learned my grandmother's name is alice gay, from halifax county, North carolina. City Enfield. I would love to know more about her, or her spouse. If anyone has anything relevant to contribute that would be grand! Just a grandchild wanting to know more.

I had an Aunt Mary Alice Gay that was born in Seaboard, Northampton County, NC 27 Jan 25 & lived in Littleton, Halifax County. I don't know if she ever lived in Enfield or not. Looking for Obit for Frank "C" Gay, b 1911, d 1974 in Colorado
Greetings:
I'm looking for an obit for Frank "C" Gay, born 4 May 1911, and died 19 March 1974. He's buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery. He served in the US Navy in WW2, being discharged as a GM1 in October 1945, and returning to his hometown of Denver. I'm trying to "fill in the blanks" from 1945 to 1974. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Gay/Brooks/Yarbrough families Georgia/Alabama
Looking for further history on Charles b abt 1865 possibly near East Point, Georgia(?) and Rosetta Brooks or Yarbrough b abt 1883. Belileve Charles b Georgia, but married Rosetta Brooks/Yarbrough in Bessemer, Jefferson, Alabama. Charles and Rosetta moved to Michigan where they died, but family believes there may be cousins of Charles who remained in Alabama. One census shows Georgia Yarbrough, sister of Rosetta living with Charles & Rosetta. Rosetta and Georgia born by Winona, TX. No names of who Charles' siblings are, and anyone who is able to help tie up some of my unknown areas are appreciated.

Martha Jane Gay (1853- 1897 ) who married Stephen Deas (1851 - 1920 ) my grandfather.
Martha was Stephen's first marriage and they had 8 children.
My grandmother was his second wife.
All three are buried in Magnolia Cemetary in Augusta Ga.
I have a great picture of Martha Gay Deas. I also have more information if indeed this may be your kin.

I found a headstone in Greene County,nc. It was in the Walston Family Cemetery on the Vadiford- Thomas Rd. The inscription read as follows Westly Gay Born Jun 7, 1835 Died Apr 5, 19--, the last two numbers could have been 00. Don't know for sure.
