James B Gay, I researched it, he died October 28, 1882, He was part of the Land Lottery with Father Josiah Gay, brothers Hardy, Henry, Jacob and sister Mary Gay Grinstead. Mary E. Gay later I found is Mary E. Clements. All this I found in court records for the land law suit. I looked into the kids and they are not them.
I found a relative to James Ivy Gay, and emailed him to see what he knew. I haven't heard back yet. I thought about the top one, calling the funeral homes; I just haven't got that far. Been trying to locate some living relatives of James, and Almeaid; I just found Almeaid Obituary and her son and daughter, working on finding her kids, kids. If that makes sense.
Right now working on looking thru Laurens county, GA newspaper 1910-1911 and reading the history of Laurens County, to locate clues.
